Teg, Bala
FROM THE EAST THROUGH
CORWEN (A5)
Taking the A5 towards Betws-y-Coed, at the second set of traffic lights take
the left turn which is well signposted to Bala on the A494. (N.B. If you
have come from the Chester direction using the A5104/A494, which is a
popular route, you turn right at the first set of lights when you reach the
A5 and left to Bala at the second set).
After about 9 miles you will arrive at the town of Bala. Go straight
through the town passing shops right and left. (Spar is on the right and
Somerfield on the left if you need supplies).
When you pass a garage on your right, a cinema on the left, followed
immediately by a Police/Ambulance station on your right go slowly now as you
are looking for a right turn. Passing some new bungalows on the right you
will see the turn signposted to Bala Golf Club. As you turn you will be
able to see the street sign, Stryd y Fron. Drive on past the bungalow on
your left with a large conservatory and turn left into Cae Croes. Follow
the crescent and Bryn Teg is next to the last house on your left. Go up to
the top of the drive and park in the alcove by the steps. Please call at
the house for the key.
FROM THE SOUTH :- VIA DOLGELLAU
From Dolgellau take the A494 northbound. You should see signs for Bala.
In some 15 miles after passing the village of Llanuwchllyn you will see Bala
Lake on your right, follow the road past the end of the lake with the Bala
Leisure Centre and Tourist Information Centre on your right. (Be careful
here as it is now a 30 mph limit and Police like to catch people out on this
bend).
In
a couple of hundred yards take the left turn signposted Bala Golf Club. You
are now in Stryd y Fron. Drive on past the bungalow on your left with a
large conservatory, turn left into Cae Croes. Follow the crescent and Bryn
Teg is the next to last house on your left. Go up to the top of the drive
and park in the alcove by the steps. Please call at the house for the key.
