To Find Bryn Teg, Bala

FROM THE EAST THROUGH CORWEN (A5)

Taking the A5 towards Betws-y-Coed, at the second set of traffic lights take the left turn which is well signposted to Bala on the A494.  (N.B. If you have come from the Chester direction using the A5104/A494, which is a popular route, you turn right at the first set of lights when you reach the A5 and left to Bala at the second set).

After about 9 miles you will arrive at the town of Bala.  Go straight through the town passing shops right and left.  (Spar is on the right and Somerfield on the left if you need supplies).

When you pass a garage on your right, a cinema on the left, followed immediately by a Police/Ambulance station on your right go slowly now as you are looking for a right turn.  Passing some new bungalows on the right you will see the turn signposted to Bala Golf Club.  As you turn you will be able to see the street sign, Stryd y Fron.  Drive on past the bungalow on your left with a large conservatory and turn left into Cae Croes.  Follow the crescent and Bryn Teg is next to the last house on your left.  Go up to the top of the drive and park in the alcove by the steps.  Please call at the house for the key.

FROM THE SOUTH :-  VIA DOLGELLAU

From Dolgellau take the A494 northbound.  You should see signs for Bala.  In some 15 miles after passing the village of Llanuwchllyn you will see Bala Lake on your right, follow the road past the end of the lake with the Bala Leisure Centre and Tourist Information Centre on your right.  (Be careful here as it is now a 30 mph limit and Police like to catch people out on this bend).

In a couple of hundred yards take the left turn signposted Bala Golf Club. You are now in Stryd y Fron.  Drive on past the bungalow on your left with a large conservatory, turn left into Cae Croes.  Follow the crescent and Bryn Teg is the next to last house on your left.  Go up to the top of the drive and park in the alcove by the steps.  Please call at the house for the key.
